Microsoft Releases Upgrade Exams for MCSEs and MCSAs
Microsoft has released new certification exams for IT professionals certified with MCSE and MCSA on Windows Server 2003. They can upgrade their certification to Windows Server 2008.
MCSE and MCSA professionals can achieve this new title certification (MCTS) well in advance before Windows Server 2008 has actually been released. The professionals who are certified with MCSE 2003 and MCSA 2003 can upgrade themselves to Windows Server 2008 by taking the Microsoft exams 70-649 and 70-648, respectively. Professionals who pass their MCSE upgrade exam 70-649 can achieve the following Microsoft titles:
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Application Platform Configuration
Professionals who pass the MCSA upgrade exam 70-648 can achieve the following Microsoft titles:
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
These exams measure the requirements of Microsoft’s new Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator and Enterprise Administrator certifications.
