New A+ Exams are Coming Soon.
CompTIA A+ exam updates are expected to be available in September 30, 2006. The update exam still consists of two tests. The A+ Essentials exam (220-601) covers both hardware and operating system concepts along with other areas such as security, environment issues, and communication. Registration for A+ Essentials exam is open at Prometric and Vue testing centers worldwide. To achieve the new A+ certification credential, candidates need to pass one elective exam along with A+ Essentials exam. The cost of new exam is $158 (U.S.).
