Candidates for those titles still need to pass two exams to obtain MCTS status prior to Microsoft issuing the MCPD designations. Exam 70-549 is one of the five exams needed to fulfill the MCPD (Enterprise Applications Developer title) using the traditional path.

The cost of each exam is $125 in the US.

For those of use struggling to find decent material for the 70-552 upgrade exam to MCPD then i recommend a look at:

    Free 70-552, 70-536
    practice exams

Exams are quite short but you do get MSDN links in the explanations so you can research the topics you’re not so good at. Why does it always seem to be remoting objects?? Who knows.

Anyway, good luck to those of you out there upgrading to MCPD
